My favorite chapter is "All Hail the Side Gig." The perspective, stories, and motivation are great. I've been on my way to creating work I love and this book increases my motivation AND is giving me more ideas.

Lexi's book shares a positive, proactive and modern approach to careers and jobs. She emphasizes how anyone can cultivate an entrepreneurial attitude, based on gratitude, skills and a healthy dose of hustle. It's a quick and fun read, and I'll be referring back to it whenever I find myself feeling stagnant in my own work. Recommended.
Alexis' advice is relevant and actionable!! Her writing is easy and not filled with jargon or geek speak. It's very accessible to anyone who wants real world job search advice. I would recommend this book for anyone at any level in search of a new job they love!!

Alexis Grant packs a LOT of inspiration into this little book. If you're wondering how to take the leap into self employment, or how to change careers, this book might be just the push you need. It's organized into bite-sized bits so you can just pick it up for a second and learn something that may change your life. Personally, I took away a bunch of valuable lessons and mantras that I still think about on a regular basis. You deserve happiness and fulfillment in your career; you deserve to love your job.
I barely read books in one sitting and I did with Alexis' book. It is definitely inspiring in making your own luck which many entrepreneurs and self employed people tend to have trouble doing. This book gives you the motivation and reminder that you can make your own business work but it requires you to do something about it. Working for yourself is something that IS possible even in this current economy. Even if you're still figuring it all out, it's better to make moves rather than standing still. Definitely worth reading as you'll be inspired to do something for yourself because being happy with what you do is what it really is all about!
I follow Alexis Grant's blog and was excited to get this in an e-book format that I can read/re-read on my phone when I start getting discouraged about my career change goals.
